Dalam Operasi patuh yang dilaksanakan, Polres Kupang melalui Satlantas Polres Kupang menemukan 14 pelanggaran selama 14 hari.
Dari data yang diinput Posko Operasi Patuh Turangga 2023 Polres Kupang, jenis pelanggaran didominasi oleh minimnya pengguna jalan atau pengendara yang tidak memakai helm berstandar SNI dan Sabuk Pengaman bagi pengemudi dan atau penumpang mobil.
Kapolres Kupang AKBP Anak Agung Gde Anom Wirata, S.I.K., M.H dalam rilis yang dilaporkan dari Posko Operasi Patuh Turangga 2023, mencatat ada 14 pelanggaran yang ditemukan selama operasi Patuh Turangga 2023 lalu.
“Ada 14 pelanggaran yang ditemukan selama operasi Patuh Turangga 2023, itu tidak pakai helm SNI sebanyak 6 pelanggaran dan tidak pake Sabuk pengaman sebanyak 8 pelanggaran”, terangnya.
Meski mengalami penurunan angka pelanggaran yang cukup besar dari tahun 2022 lalu namun pelanggaran jenis ini merupakan sesuatu yang sangat fatal mengingat angka kematian tertinggi disumbangkan oleh faktor ini.
“Ada penurunan pada pelanggaran tidak menggunakan helm berstandar SNI yaitu sebanyak -45% dari tahun lalu, sedangkan tidak gunakan safety belt sebanyak 16%, namun pelanggaran ini sangat fatal karena menyumbangkan angka kematian terbanyak”, tambah AKBP Agung.
Selain pelanggaran tersbut diatas, ditemukan pula pelanggaran melawan arus lalu lintas yaitu sebanyak 5 kali. Dengan demikian jumlah pelanggaran secara keseluruhan sebanyak 21 kali.
Atas pelanggara tersebut Satgas Operasi Patuh Turangga 2023 menindak pelaku sebanyak 100 (seratus) kali dengan rincian penindakan pelaku pelanggaran dengan tilang sebanyak 21 kali dan teguran sebanyak 79 kali.
Angka kecelakaan juga mengalami penuruan sebanyak 7% dari tahun sebelumnya yaitu sebanyak 3 kali, sedangkan tahun 2022 sebanyak 10 kali.
Terkait adanya pelanggaran ini, Kapolres Agung menghimbau agar setiap pengguna jalan wajib mematuhi aturan berlalu lintas, karena aturan itu memberikan perlindungan kepada setiap pengendara.
